There have been many creations that fit the bill as being robots. Some look like us while others does a lot of things that make our lives easier. Humanoid robots have been created to become our assistants but even the fantastic ASIMO is still not ready for that responsibility on a mass scale.

However, work is underway to make this dream come true. In the mean time, we will have to happy with what is available today, toy robot pets, kits, or even a self made projects depict robots in various forms and carrying out a spectrum of responsibilities. HINT: Even your mobile phone is a robot!
